Temple Day with Vietnamese lunch

During our January 15th monthly Temple Day, we had the unusual treat of the company of our new Vietnamese friends and that they prepared lunch.

May the connection between Shao Shan Temple and Thich Minh Canh's new temple grow and flourish!

Weekend Meditation Retreat & Family program - Jan 9 & 10

To begin the new year, a weekend meditation retreat was added into the schedule.  The retreat was well attended.  

Also on January 9th, was the family program where the children examined closely bark, snowflakes, clementines and their own breath.  The parents discussed vows and aspirations.

Visit by Vietnamese Buddhist group

Shao Shan Temple was honored to host yesterday a visit by Rev.Thich Minh Cahn and a group of lay practitioners.  We look forward to an ongoing connection into the future.  May the Dharma flourish in their new Burlington temple!

New Year's Eve Ceremony / Celebration

A well-attended New Year's Eve Ceremony and celebration took place at Shao Shan Temple last night to

review the previous year and prepare to welcome in the new.  The evening included meditation, a time for personal reflection, ceremony with fire purification and refreshments.
An intimate small circle welcomed in 2016 with bell ringing.
