Outside - the first flowers of the year, just blossomed in Shao Shan Temple's moss gardens.
Inside - the spring renovations continue. The kitchen which has remained unpainted for years is finally getting a coat of paint.

Okesa Dyeing Day - April 5,2012
On Thursday, April 5th, Donna, Taylore, Taihaku and Donna's granddaughter, Miel went to Plainfield to dye fabric. The fabric was dyed indigo for the Shao Shan Okesa that will be used in the Mountain Seat Ceremony for Taihaku in 2013.
Donna is taking the lead on creating the okesa. She has begun meeting together with Judy and Betsy to prepare sewing for this important upcoming occasion.
